Born and raised in the Lower Mainland, Naeem Bardai is a partner at Lakes, Whyte LLP, where he maintains a broad solicitor’s practice with a focus on real estate, commercial transactions, and wills and estates. He also advises clients on real property disputes, construction matters, builders’ liens, and a wide range of business-related legal issues.
Naeem earned his law degree in Oxford, England before returning to British Columbia to complete a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the University of British Columbia. He articled with a national law firm and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2019.
Naeem acts for individuals, entrepreneurs, developers, lenders, and businesses throughout British Columbia. His practice includes residential and commercial real estate transactions, corporate acquisitions and reorganizations, commercial financing, leasing, shareholder matters, estate planning, and estate administration. He is committed to providing practical, strategic advice tailored to each client’s objectives and believes that strong relationships are built through trust, responsiveness, and clear communication.
Before entering the legal profession, Naeem was an accomplished multi-sport athlete. He played hockey throughout North America and professional cricket in Australia and England. While attending Oxford, he was a two-sport Varsity athlete and captained both the university’s hockey and cricket teams. A dual citizen, he represented the Ugandan National Cricket Team from 2012 to 2017.
Outside the office, Naeem can be found on the golf course, coaching hockey at St. George’s or running around with his dog Nova.
